The purpose of an Assessment Centre is to expose an individual to a practical situation in the work environment so as to identify whether he will be able to deal with the demands of the position concerned. The value of the assessment centre is that it allows for the evaluation of multiple applicants for the same position to determine if they can apply their theoretical knowledge and experience in practice. iPAC predominantly focuses on the following two methods of conducting assessment at an Assessment Centre:
- A business simulation
- An In-Basket exercise combined with a simulation exercise
The methodology is designed to assess any role against identified core competencies, after which it is further evaluated during the development of the business simulation. The business simulation technology that is used in the process involves experientially based competency assessment and development tools. The business simulation is a dynamic, competitive and exciting computer-based simulation that provides participants with a broad perspective on the financial, people, customer and strategic thinking domains with related outcomes. Participants face challenges, handle crises, set goals, develop strategies, take advantage of new opportunities and deal with uncertainty. They will be individually exposed and have to compete against themselves and against a best practice benchmark in the simulated environment. Their responses to scenarios are electronically scored and reflected during the simulation. Individual feedback and reports are provided after the assessment. Assessment Centre techniques can also be applied manually in the selection and potential assessments of current and potential employees. Assessment Centres offer an integrated approach to the assessing of current and potential competencies of participants. A well-designed Assessment Centre is not only the most effective tool available for competency assessments, but also has the best predictability for work success of all instruments.
This exercise is aimed at revealing the potential in the team for synergy and developing a sense of community through teamwork and experiential methods so as to optimise learning. The process focuses on improving team member attitude, which will drive team satisfaction, which in turn will drive team performance. The exercise is a facilitated process based on experiential learning principles.

A Climate Study provides the organisation with a detailed framework for defining, assessing and maintaining the culture on an organisational, business unit and individual level. The primary purpose of leadership and culture management is to improve the performance of individuals and teams through the effective development of their management capacity. Culture and climate are lead factors for sustainable growth and constitute the basis from where results can be leveraged. These studies are computerised and developed to fulfil the organisation's needs. The results of the climate survey will indicate inter alia the following:
- Attitude towards the company
- Attitude towards the position held (do the people feel confident in their positions)
- Attitude towards company policies and procedures
- Ethics in the work place
